Ethan Rook
Ethan Jee Man Rook, born on March 02, 2000, in South Korea was sent to his eternal home on June 17th 2025, in Cherry Point, North Carolina. He was the beloved son of Sherrie and Patrick Rook.
Ethan’s journey in life took him many places. When he was 5 months old his parents adopted him and brought him to Arizona. His “gotcha day” which falls on August 23rd was a yearly extra birthday where we shared many fond memories. His passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends and many others touched by him.
Ethan is survived by his loving parents, Sherrie and Patrick, his brother Liam and sister Jordan. Ethan was also a grandson to Ronald Rook. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles. Among them are Michael and Linda Rook, Chris and Angie McLeod, Hope Powell, and a host of cousins.
After his graduation from Centennial High School, Ethan joined the United States Marine Corps and embarked on an exciting journey that took him to many places including California, Florida, Japan and North Carolina.
Outside of work Ethan loved playing video games, music and camping. He was also an automobile enthusiast owning vintage and modern sports cars.
Those who remember Ethan will remember his bright infectious smile as well as his love for the water. Whether it was laying on the beach catching some rays, fishing with friends or wakeboarding and surfing with family, his love for water was a constant flowing current in his life.
The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Ethan will be held on July 9th ,2025 at 12:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home 6830 W Thunderbird Rd, Peoria, AZ 85381. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 11:00am. The video will be broadcast live on July 9th, 2025 starting at 11:00am – a link for the broadcast has been posted under “Webcast URL”.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to your favorite charity, in honor of Ethan.
The burial service will be on July 9th, 2025 at 2pm at Sunland Memorial Park 15826 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
