Esther Windom
WARREN – Esther Jackson Windom, age 93, departed this life Wednesday, August 27, 2025, after an extended illness. She was born January 30, 1932 in Warren, the daughter of Electra Jackson and Carey Riley, and raised by her grandparents, William Jackson and Pearl Toles Jackson.
She was employed four years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital and nineteen years at Packard Electric. She was a member of Believer’s Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed being a member of the Community Volunteer Council (CVC), United in Feeding God’s Children, Birthday Club, bowling, crafts, and watching movies.
On May 9, 1978, she married the love of her life, Duane Windom, with whom she shared forty-seven wonderful years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her children, Audrey Calbert and Charles Ware; three sisters; and two brothers.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband; her daughter, Linda Frith; her sister, Brenda (Ray) Clark; four stepdaughters: Vonda Daniels, Deidre Windom, Audrey Milton, and Danika Windom; six grandchildren; godchildren Jeffrey and JoAnne Bruton; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
