Erin Nolan

Erin Mae Nolan, age 44, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her sister and a circle of dear friends, following a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer.

Born on March 26, 1981, to the late Richard and Jean (Kraus) Nolan, Erin grew up in Kohler, Wisconsin. A proud graduate of Kohler High School’s Class of 1999, she was active in both cheerleading and band, always bringing energy and enthusiasm to everything she did. Her love of music and a deep, personal connection to Tennessee called her south shortly after graduation, where she eventually made her home in Nashville.

In Nashville, Erin found a second family at Martin’s BBQ Joint, where she worked for many years. She was known as a hardworking, dependable, and uplifting presence—loved by her coworkers, admired by those she trained, and respected in every role she took on. Her leadership and positivity left a lasting mark on everyone around her.

Later, Erin continued her life of service at Centennial Hospital in the nutrition department. There, she became a bright light to patients and staff alike—offering not just meals, but comfort, kindness, and hope. Her tireless work ethic and compassionate spirit inspired those around her.

Though she called Tennessee home, Erin carried Wisconsin in her heart and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. No matter the season, she proudly wore the green and gold, sharing her love of the team wherever she went.

One of Erin’s greatest passions was music. She was fiercely devoted to her favorite bands and would often travel to attend concerts, where her spirit and joy were always at their brightest.

Erin faced her cancer diagnosis with extraordinary bravery, grace, and strength. Her deep and abiding faith in God gave her peace and sustained her throughout her journey. Fearless and unwavering, she met each challenge with courage and an unshakeable positive attitude. Even in the most difficult moments, she put others first—shielding them from worry, offering comfort, and reminding everyone of the power of faith. Her strength and resilience were truly inspiring, and her life was a testimony of hope, dignity, and trust in something greater.

Erin will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her bright spirit, boundless generosity, and the fierce love she gave to those around her.

Survivors include her sister, Jessica (Matthew) Kostka; her brother, Justin Nolan (Elena Catalan); two nieces, Aubrey and Brenna Kostka; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Nashville, TN.
