Eric Doyle
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Joseph Doyle. Born in New Waterford N.S on August 24, 1962 passed away on August 1, 2025, at Thompson General Hospital, Thompson MB. Surrounded by family.
Eric was a devoted husband, a beloved father, grandfather (“Poppy”), brother, and friend. He was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, spoke proudly and had a deep love for his family.
Eric will be remembered for his honesty and strong opinions, playful spirit and his kind heart, his love of his music, woodworking, carving and landscaping. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Eric travelled across Canada multiple times at a very early age after meeting his love of his life Charlotte Doyle. He started a successful landscaping company in the late 80s ( Island Tree Removal & Maintenance LTD ). Then he went to college and graduated at the top of his class to start his welding career. 30 years of welding he was able to provide a beautiful life for his family. He always made sure the family was taking care of. A very hard working selfless man, he battled some of Life’s most difficult obstacles, but he always stood tall and found the strength to pull through and move forward, keeping his head held high and more pride then you can shake a stick at.
Eric had a huge heart and cared deeply for everyone around him, he would love to make you laugh all the time just to put a smile on your face.
To my Firstborn,
I showed you how love is supposed to be, I’ve been so proud of your kids graduating and are starting their life’s off properly. I see your heart and I’ll always remember the moments we shared. My love lives inside your heart and with each beat know I’m here. And tell Josh he’s doing a good job taking care of my little girl. Love you always Erica.
To My Son,
Hold your head high and walk proudly, full of pride because that’s who you are,
never forget the words I said son.
I’m sorry I’m gone to early, but I know you will carry on my legacy through the strength I’ve instilled into your heart, You are my best friend and I’ll always be most proud of the son you’ve become. You filled my heart full of happiness and showed me that I was a great father to you and done a perfect job raising a son.
To my grandbabies,
Be strong willed, motivated, courageous,honest, and true to yourself. Don’t be afraid to dream big and reach for the stars. Always remember to be kind and compassionate, not just to others, but to yourself as well. Your laughter brightens my world, and your happiness means the world to me. I’m so proud to be your Poppy.
From your firstborn,
Dad, You taught me how to use a tool and change a tire, and many life lessons that went far beyond that. You showed me, through your actions, how a man should love a woman—with respect, kindness, and unwavering devotion. You were always there for my children as they grew up, sharing your wisdom and laughter with them just as you did with me. You accept me for me and I will always be grateful for that. Thank you for every smile, every lesson, and every moment we have shared. I will carry your love and laughter with me always and forever.

To my Dad,
I didn’t know who I was when I was young, I was lost with no direction no sense of self-respect. You save my life, you gave me the Hope, you gave me strength to overcome my difficult obstacles. You sent my life on a new trajectory. I can hear your voice whenever I need help, you are my conscience that got me where I am today and I know exactly who I am because of you, and nobody can take that away from me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will forever be grateful. I love you Dad with everything I am.

Eric is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Charlotte Doyle(Head) (Thompson) son Billy Doyle (Samantha Doyle) (Thompson), daughter Erica Doyle (Josh Millar) (Salisbury) grandchildren Kyla, Hailey, Hunter, Ethan Doyle, Sophia Doyle great grandchild Peyton his devoted brothers Brian Doyle (Moncton), James Doyle(Jimmy)(Halifax)Glen Doyle and sisters Linda Ross (Branford), Loretta Tavares (Branford)
The celebration of life will take place at a later date.
