Emergency crews called to Spooner Summit crash

Douglas County sheriff’s deputies, Nevada Highway Patrol and Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District were called Sunday afternoon to a crash at the top of US-50 West Spooner Summit near the junction of State Route 28.

The crash was reported at 3:52 p.m. Both eastbound and westbound lanes are blocked. According to first responders on scene, there are a total of three patients with minor to moderate injuries. One person was being taken to the hospital.

Traffic control measures have been put in place. Motorists can expect delays.
