Elizabeth “Theresa” Perry, age 85, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, peacefully at her home with loved ones. She was born July 20, 1940, in Monon, Indiana, the daughter of the late Alberta Helen (nee Vogel) and William Henry McCormick.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Roy “Dean” Perry; daughter Betty Rogers; grandson Douglas Winkler; sister Carol LaPacek; and brother Richard McCormick.
She is survived by daughters Peggy (Robert) Gift of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Kathy (Tony) Bova of Crystal City, and Nancy (Ronald) Spoth of Festus, Missouri; son -in-law Denny Rogers of Branson, Missouri; sisters Anetta (Don) Fairchild of LaBelle, Florida, Ethel (the late Michael) Kelleher of Burnsville, Minnesota, and Delores (Tom) Warner of Oswego, Illinois; brothers Bill (Arlene) McCormick of Edmonds, Washington and Mike (Donna) McCormick of Buffalo, Indiana; grandchildren Jennifer Garnatz, Robbie (Jennie) Gift, Stacie (Mike) Adel, Carrie (Jason) Pritchard, Chris (Erin) Bova, Matt (Andrea) Bova, Ryan (Jeanne) Cautrell, Amy (Zach) Knackstedt, and Ronald (Wendi) Spoth, Jr.; 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandsons.
She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City, a retired manager for Quonset Lanes in Crystal City and later worked for Wee Care Learning Center in Festus. Theresa enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls, attending bible study, volunteering at food pantry and serving at her church. She loved traveling, playing golf, spending time with family, and attending grandkids sporting events.
A memorial gathering will begin at 10:00 A.M. with a celebration of Theresa’s life to follow at 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 11, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jeff Carr.
