Elizabeth Jane Ball, affectionately known as Bette to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on August 15, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Bette grew up in a bustling household as one of seven beloved children. Her parents, the late George and Jane (Gage) Mouilleseaux, instilled in her a love for family and community that would become the cornerstone of her life.
A proud graduate of Mackenzie High School in 1966, Bette carried the lessons of her youth into every endeavor. Sometime after graduation, she embarked on a career with the United States Postal Service, where her diligence and warm spirit made her a favorite among colleagues and the community she served.
Bette will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, which led her to explore the world and embrace new experiences with open arms. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she was always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. Friends and family will recall Bette’s spirited nature, which brought light and laughter into every room she entered.
She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories with her siblings: Judy Mouilleseaux, Patricia (Mouilleseaux) Ynclan, Michael L. Mouilleseaux, Molly Mouilleseaux, Sally (Mouilleseaux) Telling, David G. Mouilleseaux, and Paul C. Mouilleseaux.
Bette’s journey through life was marked by her boundless generosity, and her zest for life. Her departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. As we say farewell to Bette, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey well-traveled, and a soul that has undoubtedly found its place in eternity.
We honor the memory of Elizabeth Jane Ball, a woman whose life was a testament to the power of positivity, the strength of family ties, and the beauty of a life dedicated to service. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with smiles, stories, and the love she so freely gave.
