Elfrieda Linklater

Elfrieda Sally Linklater passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at 1:40 PM at St. Boniface Hospital, surrounded by the love of her devoted big sister Helen and three of her cherished nieces. She was 67 years old.

Born in The Pas, Manitoba, Elfrieda was the beloved daughter of Mary Linklater (née Spence) and Samuel Linklater. She attended R.D. Parker High School and found joy in her work as a housekeeper. Elfrieda was known for her adventurous spirit, infectious laughter, and deep love for Bingo. She also had a fondness for teddy bears and good luck charms, which brought her comfort and joy throughout her life. Elfrieda touched the lives of many and always appreciated visits from family and friends during her years in Winnipeg, the city she proudly called home.

She is lovingly remembered by her partner Rick Beaque; daughter Amy; grandchildren Brandon and Tamika; great-grandchildren Lachlan and Matthew; sisters Helen Linklater, Florence Keeper, and Jennifer Paynter; brothers George, Ken (Marilyn), and Edward Primrose (Melfina); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Samuel, her son Micheal, daughter Bridget, brother-in-law Bernard, sister-in-law Valerie, niece Sharon Kobliski, and many other dear relatives and friends. We take comfort in knowing she is joyfully reunited with them in the Heavens, free from pain and suffering.

Celebration of Life held on August 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM United Church in Nelson House, Manitoba. Interment to follow at the Nelson House Cemetery.
