Edward Corner

Edward Corner, age 90, of Orange, beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth (Raugust) Corner passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Evergreen Woods of North Branford. Mr. Corner was born March 25, 1935, in Bridgeport, son of the late Edward and Helena (Byrnes) Corner and had been a lifelong area resident.

Ed was a proud United States Army Veteran having served two enlistments in the 1950’s and again in the 1960’s where he was stationed in Germany. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Quinnipiac University in Business Administration and worked as an Executive Vice President for Harvey Hubbell Inc. After retiring he enjoyed spending winters in Florida and summers in Connecticut.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include his two children, Edward Scott Corner of Stratford and Todd Phillip Corner of New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private interment will take place in Saint Michael’s Cemetery on August 12, 2025.

The William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford has been entrusted with Edward’s care.
