Earline Mae Probasco, 91, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 1:39 P.M. Sunday May 11, 2025, at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Living in Hoopeston. She was born May 5, 1934, in Donansburg, KY, the daughter of John and Elsie (Bishop) Russell.
She is survived by four daughters, Jan Kijowski of Savoy, IL, Rebecca (David) Kempe of Champaign, IL, Nancy (Darrin) Hofer of Loda, IL, and Diane (Carrol) Ray of Rankin, IL; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob) Medd, Michael Kempe, Allison Hofer and husband Steven Kaiser, Abby Hofer, Alyssa Hofer, Dalton Goble (Lynzi Armstrong), Kenny Ray, and Emily Ray; one great-grandson, Axell Goble; niece, Karen McGinnis; and nephew, Donnie Wells.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elsie Russell; sister, Marie Wells; and nephew, Robert Wells.
Earline worked at CBS in Hoopeston. She then worked at Rankin Grade School as a bus driver and kitchen help. She served as the Village Clerk of Rankin for 17 years and later was a bus driver for Hoopeston CUSD #11 until her retirement. She was a member of the Rankin United Methodist Church. Earline enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing cards, taking drives around town, and visiting with her family at the campground.
A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 21st, at the funeral home with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
