Duane Johnson
Duane E. Johnson, 67, passed away at home on Thursday, August 14th, 2025.
Duane was born to Earl and Charlotte Johnson on March 25th, 1958, in Black River Falls, WI. Duane graduated from Black River Falls High School and began a lifelong career as a welder. He would later retire as a welder from Nelson Muffler, where he had worked for many years.
Duane was not only a talented welder but also prided himself on being a jack-of-all-trades and was well-versed in carpentry, woodworking, and mechanics. He was also an active member of the Little Norway Lutheran Church.
On May 4th, 2002, Duane married Frances Levanzowski, and the two spent many wonderful years together, sharing happy memories and time with their family. Duane loved his family but especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Duane is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Frances; his two sons, Cory and Benjamin (Dale) Johnson, his four siblings, Roberta (Richard) Iliff, Carol Burke, Jerome (Brenda) Johnson, and Bill (Jennifer) Johnson, his grandchildren Cosy Rivers, Ashton Johnson, Gabriel Johnson, Mark Johnson, Isabella Johnson, Landon Johnson, and Layla Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Charlotte Johnson, and infant nephew Geovanie Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday next March.
