Donna Horton

Donna J. Horton, age 80, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1945, in Ewa, O’ahu, Hawaii, to Donald and Leilani (Simmons) Zeiger.

Donna was the devoted wife of the late Ivan Horton, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. She began her career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and later earned a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Dallas. Donna eventually transitioned to a position with AT&T, where she worked until her retirement.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Tammy) Horton of Blue Ridge, TX, and Sharlene Horton of Yorkville, IL; her grandchildren, Brittany (Jay) Prigmore, Joshua Horton, and Kaitlyn (John) Stiager; and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amelia, Connor, and Leila Prigmore.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Leilani Zeiger; her beloved husband, Ivan Horton; and her brother, Ronald Zeiger.

A private funeral service will be held in her honor.
