Donald Demas

Donald J. Demas of Rye passed away on September 6, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Perry Demas and Margaret Campo Demas.

After attaining his associate and business degrees, he became an assistant manager at Greenwich Water Co. His career spanned over 38 years. After his retirement he decided to start his second career as a school crossing guard for the next ten years.

He married the former Theresa Tutolo on September 20, 1959 at the Church of the Resurrection. Together they raised their three children, Carolyn Strickland, Donna Lieval and Donald Demas.

Donald is survived by his wife Theresa, his three children, four grandchildren: Eric, Roy Tristan and Remi, and two great-grandchildren: Vincent and Clarissa.

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home on Tuesday September 9, 2025 from 4 PM to 8 PM. He will be entombed at St. Mary Cemetery at 10AM in Rye Brook.
