Dennis J Rudmin
3/4/1951 – 9/25/25
Dennis passed away peacefully, with his friends Greg and Patricia Granja at his bedside, on September 25, 2025, after a 7 month battle with MDS. Up until the end Dennis lived his faith and prayed the Rosary.
Dennis was born and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, PA. Raised by his devoted Mother, Catherine Rudmin (Kitty), Aunt Sis & Uncle Doc and his Grandmother (Mary Lonergan). He had many Aunts and Uncles, and 32 first cousins. In many ways his cousins were like his siblings. He attended Immaculate Conception elementary school and North Catholic High School for Boys, where he met and made life long friends. He then attended Villanova University where he studied in France for a year. He went on to receive his Masters Degree from American Graduate School of International Relations. Dennis spoke both French and Spanish. Dennis worked in New York, Texas and then made his way to California where he worked for Disney and made his home for close to 40 years. Dennis left the business world in 1988 and became a Teacher of English as a Second Language. For close to 38 years, he taught thousands of students from various countries in Arizona, Mexico and California. He was fondly known by his students as “Teacher”.
At the center of Dennis’s life was a deep faith, one that he practiced in the Traditional Latin Mass, both at his parish Our Lady of the Angels and St. Vitus Churches. His faith was one that he espoused through perfectly timed words of scripture or not so perfectly timed truths that he defended anytime, anyplace, anywhere. If you knew Dennis you knew this to be so true. Through his Faith, Dennis met so many wonderful life long friends, many of whom assisted him through his illness.
Dennis was preceded in death by his loving Mother, Catherine (Kitty) Rudmin. Dennis is survived by generations of Cousins. He prayed for all of them and we will find comfort in knowing that he will continue to pray for us.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1100 W Duarte Road, Arcadia, CA 91007 or a Charity of your choice.
