Debra

Debra (Debbie) Linn Christopher passed away on August 22, 2025. Born on November 5, 1954, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to Marlan Rudy Andrews and Diann Louise Andrews (Sudderburg), Debbie was raised on the family farm in Stratford, Iowa, next to her beloved paternal grandparents. Her childhood was filled with dancing, sports, and the joy of growing up surrounded by a large and close-knit extended family.

Debbie was the embodiment of warmth, strength, and generosity. She approached life with unmatched energy and a fun-loving spirit. Her kindness and loyalty touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether helping a friend in need, cheering from the sidelines at her grandchildren’s events, or simply sharing a laugh, Debbie made everyone feel seen and cared for.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: sunshine on her face, winters in Florida, and the calming rhythm of the ocean—her “happy place.” An adventurous soul, she treasured motorcycle trips with her husband Jimmy and their friends. She had a passion for design and decorating. Debbie worked hard and played hard, and she always had a project she was working on—bringing her creativity, determination, and energy into everything she did.

Among Debbie’s greatest joys was being a grandmother. She was her grandkids’ biggest fan and fiercest supporter, never missing a chance to show up for them and celebrate their achievements. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life.

Debbie spent the last year of her life caring for her husband Jimmy during his battle with cancer. He lost that battle in July, just weeks before her own passing. In her final weeks, her siblings and their spouses were an incredible source of strength and comfort—offering unwavering support, love, and presence while she was hospitalized.

Debbie leaves behind her best friend and sister, Kris Higgins (Jeff); her brother, Denny Andrews (Gaylene); her sisters, Sherri Nelson (Jeff), Linda Sesker; and her brother, Mike Sundall (Lynn). She leaves behind her six children: Corey, Angela, Jamie, Michael, Danielle, and Kara; as well as the true loves of her life, her grandchildren: Mya, Nick, Amelia, Ava, Quinn, Harper Lincoln, Gwennie & Weston. Also left behind are numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. She will also be missed by her cherished fur grandbabies, who brought her comfort and joy.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone.

Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home, 515-432-4550.
