It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David White, age 71, who left this world on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Born on May 21, 1954, David was a proud veteran who served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. His time in service instilled in him a deep sense of duty, discipline, and love for the land he so cherished.
A true outdoorsman, David found joy and peace in nature. Whether he was deep in the woods tracking deer, patiently waiting in a stand for a squirrel, or casting a line in a quiet fishing spot, the natural world was where he felt most at home. He had a deep respect for wildlife and a quiet reverence for the beauty of the forests, rivers, and fields that surrounded him.
More than just a hunter and fisherman, David was known for his kind and generous heart. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation — not out of obligation, but because it was simply who he was. He lived his life with humility, compassion, and a willingness to help anyone in need.
Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, his stories from the woods, and the way he always made time for others. He taught us the value of simplicity, of hard work, and of appreciating the little things — a crisp morning breeze, a rustle in the leaves, the call of a distant bird.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Mildred White and sister, Janice Guillory.
David is survived by his daughter, Jamie Coggins; grandchildren, Gabby, Amber, and Cole; sister, Carolyn Field; nieces and nephews, Karen Corley (Mike), Laurie Johnson (Rod), Joey Fisher (Christi), Jennifer Johnson (Jeff), and Trey Guillory; and a host of great nieces and nephews, extended family as well as many friends and fellow outdoorsmen who will miss him deeply.
May the woods be ever green where you walk now, and the rivers forever full. Rest easy, David. You will be missed.
