David Cooper

David Cooper passed away peacefully on October 24,2025 in Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 66. He was born on August 19,1959 in Oak Park, IL. David graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Economics and spent most of his successful career at the Chicago Board of Trade.

A devoted husband to his wife Lisa, for 25 years, he was a source of love and strength. He was passionate about trading, traveling, trains, the Green Bay Packers, and his beloved dog Shamrock. He was a proud mentor and father to Nicholas Hogrefe. He was also a caring and compassionate friend to so many. Lisa and Nicholas will remember David for his kind heart, integrity, humor, intelligence, and extensive knowledge of history.

David is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, and his stepson, Nicholas. He was predeceased in death by his Father and Mother and his dear brother, Peter.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Chicago, IL, at a yet to be determined date in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Pancreatic Action Network at https://pancan.org.
