David Blackwell

David Glenn Blackwell, 70. Passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, He was born June 18, 1954, to Eva Mae Nolting Blackwell and Elmer Blackwell. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He attended Topeka High School. He was a United State Marine and received an Honorable Discharge as a Rifle Sharpshooter. After his tour in the Marines David returned to Topeka and worked at Goodyear Plant.

David accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized.

David loved his family, was very caring and had lots of devoted friends. It is said that “back in the Day” he and his friends would sing and harmonize for pleasure. He worked out and played basketball in his spare time, his friends called him a “baller”. He always wore hats, loved to dress and look “sharp”.

Those who Celebrate his life are his children: David Blackwell Jr., Megan Blackwell, Casey Blackwell, Sasha Blackwell, and Christopher Blackwell; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Elmer Lee Blackwell and Richard Allen Blackwell; sister, Eva Eileen Blackwell ; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
