David Billings

David Paul Billings, 82 of Springfield, passed away at 9:40 am, Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Sunny Acres. He was born March 1, 1943 in Kankakee, the son of James A. and Marylene (Varboncoeur) Billings.

He is survived by a daughter, Sheri Turnbull of Tayloville; three grandchildren, Daniel Kuntzman, Patrick (Angela) Hilscher and Courtland Hilscher; two great grandchildren, Yuffie and Cecelia Kuntzman and three step grandchildren, Ellie, Ari and Robbie; two sisters, Colleen Henry of Palastine, IL and Sharon Nava of Texas; two brothers, Donaln “Don” Billings of Springfield and Richard (Lola) Billings of St. Ann, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Billings.

David retired from AT & T after 30 years of service. He was an United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed restoring cars.
