Darwin Brown
Darwin L. Brown, age 86, of Plano, IL passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was born in Evansville, IN on November 12, 1938 the son of Ronald and Frances (Deal) Brown.
Mr. Brown was united in marriage on December 29, 1956 to Joan Welborn and they have spent the next 68 years happily together. Darwin was employed for many years by K & K Well Drilling in Yorkville, IL until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Trinity Church United Methodist in Yorkville, IL. Darwin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Brown of Plano, IL; his children, Patricia G. Brown of Aurora, IL, Mark (Marcia) Brown of Yorkville, IL, and Eric (Pam) Brown of Plano, IL; his grandchildren, Aaron (Dusty) Brown, Andrew (Julia) Whitehead, Jacob (Kristen) Brown, Trisha (Patrick) Ryan, Morgan (Ryan) Lee, Mackenzie (Ish) Rodriguez, Catherine Klein, and Rachel Klein; his great-grandchildren, Owen and Tucker Brown, Grace, Jaxon, and Lila Brown, Brayden and Ethan Whitehead, Declan and Fiona Ryan, Nolan, Graham, and Emersyn Lee, and Drew Whitehead; three sisters, Brenda Dike, Joann (Allen) Creek, Ronda (Bruce) Matsel all of Owensville, IN; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Darwin is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Frances Brown; his infant sons, Jeffrey Den and Ronnie Joe Brown; his grandson, Christopher Lee Brown; his brother, Eugene Ray Brown; and his brother-in-law, David Dike.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Nelson Funeral Homes, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will take place at a later date in White Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN.
Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the funeral home in Yorkville, IL.
