Darrell Montgomery

Darrell Brian Montgomery, 46, passed away early Thursday morning, May 15, 2025 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona following a chronic illness.

He was born December 30, 1978 in Mansfield, Ohio to Darrell Lee and Sandra Montgomery. Darrell graduated from Independence High School, Glendale, Arizona in 1996. Darrell went by the nickname “OTIS” and he worked as a diesel mechanic for several years prior to becoming ill.

He is survived by his two parents, one stepfather, one brother and Fiancée, Darrell L. Montgomery of Mansfield, Ohio., Sandra Leonard of Glendale, Arizona., Kenneth Leonard of Glendale, AZ., Ronnie M. Montgomery and Orfary D. Montgomery of Anthem, AZ and Marcy Brown of Phoenix, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, various aunts, uncles and cousins.

A restricted funeral service established by Darrell’s Family is scheduled to occur on or about June 3, 2025. No visitation is authorized. A private memorial service organized by his Fiancée will follow late June 2025 at his church. Darrell’s memorial service will be by invitation to close friends and Family members only.
