Daniel Alton Spivey, age 48, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, Following injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He was born on July 14, 1977, in Douglas, GA to Daniel Stanley Spivey and Camellia Ortiz Spivey.
Survivors include: Mother; Camellia Ortiz Spivey of Douglas, GA, Father; Daniel Stanley Spivey of Douglas, GA, One Brother; Nathan (Cindy) Spivey of Dothan, AL, Sister; Lundie (Hardy) Gray of Valdosta, GA, Nieces and Nephews, Amellia Gray, Parker Gray, Jewels Gray, Hudson Gray, Harper Spivey, Hayden Spivey, Nellie Spivey, Several Extended Family Members. He was preceded in death by: Two Grandfathers; Alton Spivey, Ramon Ortiz, Two Grandmothers; Evie Harper Spivey, Juanell Jewell Ortiz, Two Uncles; Emilio Ortiz, and Reinaldo Ortiz, Aunt; Louise Ortiz, and First Cousin; Shayla Spivey.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 26, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 am The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Elder Luke Mizell will officiate, Adam Smith will give introduction and opening prayer, Special Speakers will be Lundie Gray, Joy Smith and Elder Nathan Spivey, Elder Hardy Gray will present the closing prayer. Music Selections will be played by Ms. Debra McKinnon, Prelude will be played by Rickey Smith. Interment followed at St Illa Baptist Church Cemetery, where the grave will be dedicated by Elder Nathan Spivey.
Pallbearers will include: Elder Nathan Spivey, Elder Hardy Gray, Parker Gray, Dorsey Smith, Adam Smith, and Ben Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will include: Scott Smith, Tyler Smith, Jose Ortiz, Zachary Ortiz, Adam Kerns, Jonathan Ortiz, Ethan Ortiz, Tristen Ortiz, Clay Spivey, Jack Spivey, Austin Luke, Al Spivey and Trey Spivey.
