Daniel Glenn Printz, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 6, 1942, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Daniel was a long-time resident of Frisco, North Carolina.

A graduate of Linwood High School, Daniel dedicated much of his professional life to serving in the U.S. Navy from which he retired with honor and was a Dispatcher for the Dare County Sheriff’s Office. His commitment to his work was matched by his devotion to his faith as a member of the Hatteras Assembly of God, where he found fellowship and spiritual fulfillment.

Daniel was an avid fisherman and a passionate ham radio enthusiast, pursuits that brought him joy and connected him with many friends. Above all he cherished his role as a devoted family man, always putting his loved ones first and earning the affectionate title of “best dad and grandfather.”

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Printz and Elizabeth Taylor Printz. Also, his sister and her husband, Betty and Harry Smith of Okeechobee, FL; a brother and his wife, Howard and Millie Tice of Frisco, NC; and his dear daughter-in-law, Michele Printz of Yanceyville, NC.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Iva Willis Printz, who stood by his side throughout their many years together. He leaves behind his two sons, Daniel Printz, Jr. of Yanceyville, NC, and Andrew Printz of Avon, NC; his daughter, Mary Printz of Winterville, NC; and his cherished grandchildren; Daniel Printz III (Amanda), Kyle Printz (Eva), Jacob Printz, Stephen Printz (Rachel), and Alex Peele (Briggitte). He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Adam, Alexia, Dani, Drake, Jace, Amelia, and Oliver. Daniel is also survived by his sister, Judy Branca (Vince) of Egg Harbor, NJ, and his brother, Domenic Macellari (Ruth) of Naples, FL.

The family will gather and welcome friends at the Hatteras Assembly of God on August 16, 2025, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location. After the service, a private burial will take place at the Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hatteras Assembly of God in Daniel’s memory. His legacy of love, faith, and community service will continue to inspire those who knew him.
