Daniel Mickey
Daniel J. Mickey, 59 of Sherman, passed away at 11:45 am, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born July 4, 1965 in Pana, IL, the son of Donald J. and Alice L. (Hebert) Mickey.
He is survived by his partner, Jerry Howell of Sherman; three brothers, Kevin (Barbara) Mickey of Pana, Tim (Janaan) Mickey of Rochelle, IL and Jon Mickey of Taylorville; niece and nephews, Shelby, Ryan, Tanner and Drew Mickey and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Daniel worked as a hair stylist for many years. In addition to watching the Chicago Cubs, he enjoyed classic cars and gardening. Dan very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He always was able to cheer someone up with his infectious smile, a laugh or his sense of humor.
Visitation: 2 – 4 pm, Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman. The family encourages casual dress for those attending. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Memorial Hospital Foundation.
