Daniel Maloney

Daniel J. Maloney, age 87 of Ashland, WI (formerly of St. Paul, MN) passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Northern Lights Nursing Home in Washburn, WI. Daniel was born on September 5, 1937 in St. Paul, MN the son of Daniel and Ella (Ortlepp) Maloney.

Daniel served his country proudly in the 82nd Airborne division. He was a private pilot, and enjoyed his time in the air. He worked as a Union Iron Worker with Local #512 for many years. Daniel found joy and solitude in the outdoors, indulging his passions for hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Tamara Maloney and Deborah (Louie) Pufall; grandchildren, Jonathon Maloney and Nichole Kunze; three great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Meyerse; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Edward Maloney, Donald Maloney and James Maloney, sisters; Eileen Ferrari and Patti Slater.

There will be no formal funeral service for Daniel at this time.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home of Ashland, WI.
