Daniel Hodges

Daniel R. Hodges, age 62, born in Atlanta Georgia in 1962.  Daniel passed away peacefully with his fiancé Susan by his side on 7/3/25, under hospice care near his home in Edgewater, Florida, after a long and determined battle with cancer.

Daniel was known to educate himself on every detail of whatever the subject might be. From his youth and wanting to be a large animal veterinarian, to later in life and understanding every aspect of power and motor controls. He loved teaching his skills and knowledge to those who wanted to learn. He was proud of “his” team at work and for a company that embraced his capabilities. I knew he would work till he drew his last breath; how else could such an amazing man exit this earth….

I have a picture I’ve shared with only a few, it’s of our last moments together, of me loving you. You had already left me, I’m sure that it’s true, but I’m so glad that I have that picture of you. You look so peaceful as I held your hand, I told you I love you, again and again.   I talked about the amazing life we had shared, how we built a business that lasted 20 years. When I would tell people that you were the best troubleshooter in the world, you would tell me to hush.  I would just smile at you and say, well it’s true.  You left your mark all around the world, from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale, Holland to Cave Cay, Miami to Cape Canaveral and a rocket that you helped launch. Then on to your last job that covered most of Florida, from Saint Pete.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother and father, Helen and Jack, his son Jason, and his sister Pam.  He is survived by his fiancé Susan and her daughters, Jennifer and Katie, his son Rusty, and his sister and brother, Teddi and David.

In honor of Daniel, and the wonderful care he received, a donation to Halifax Health Hospice, will be truly appreciated.
