Daniel Boone

Mr. Daniel Joseph “Danny” Boone, age 64, of West Jefferson, passed away Tuesday morning, November 4, 2025 at Charles George VA Hospice House in Asheville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00–2:00 PM prior to the service at Boone Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Boone was born in Ashe County on April 16, 1961, to the late James Delbert (J.D.) Boone and Bertha Lou May Boone. He was an exceptional motorcycle mechanic and taught at the American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona, Florida, where he shared his skills and passion with many students.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Charles Boone.

Mr. Boone is survived by: two brothers, Captain J.D. Boone, Jr. RET (Susan), of Oneida, TN, and David Earl Boone (Sandy), of West Jefferson; two sisters, Klyda Boone and Martha Osborne, both of West Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
