Daniel “Dan” Clarence Bagley, 66, of Yuba City, transitioned to his heavenly home on January 29, 2022.
Dan was born in Sturgis, South Dakota to Eugene
and Darlene Bagley on September 6, 1955. Growing up, his father was a pastor and they moved to various areas of North Dakota, but his favorite memories of his childhood took place at his grandparents’ farm in Center, North Dakota. In 1973, he graduated from Minot High School and attended Tomlinson College in Cleveland, IN where he met the love of his life, Brenda McKibben. On February 1, 1975, he and Brenda got married in
Lawrenceville, IL. After their wedding, they began ministry together in North Dakota and had their first son, LeRoy. In 1980 they moved to Willits, CA where their twins, Clarissa and Brandon, were born.
After moving to California, he continued pastoring and then became an Office Manager. Although he transitioned out of the title of “pastor,” he continued to dedicate his life to ministry. In 2001, they moved
to Yuba City where he was a Facilities Supervisor until his retirement in 2009. After retirement, he dedicated his time to being his grandchildren’s #1 cheerleader in all of their endeavors.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 47 years,
Brenda, his children: LeRoy & Deidra Bagley,
Clarissa & Michael Schnitzius, and Brandon & Randi Bagley, his eight beautiful grandchildren, his prides and joy: James, Andrew, Danielle, Jarek, Colby, Sarah, Dylan & Skylar, and his mother Darlene Bagley. He is also survived by his 5 brothers, by many from the McKibben family, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dan is preceded in death by his brother, Craig
Bagley, his grandparents, Merle & Jenny Bagley, and his father, Eugene Bagley.
The funeral service will be held at 3pm on February 5, 2022 at Lakeside Colonial Chapel in Marysville, CA with a reception at Marysville Church of the Nazarene to follow.
