Cora Pigott “Granny” Fritz, received her angel wings on September 12, 2025. Cora was born on March 11, 1948 in Southport, North Carolina to Horace Hamlin Pigott and Marion Auger Fredere.
Cora was a long-time resident of Granbury, Texas. She worked 30+ years for the City of Granbury and for Wiley Funeral Home.
Cora loved working puzzles and could work for hours on them. She loved baking cookies for family and friends, especially sugar cookies for Christmas, also her oatmeal raisin cookies. She loved to take the kids skating at Buddy and Doris’s skating rink and went many times. She even loved to go bike riding with the grandkids. Christmas was her favorite holiday, along with all the Hallmark movies. She would record them all.
Cora loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Cora made so many friends over the years and everyone she met loved her.
She is survived by: daughter, Wendy Davis and husband Lincoln; granddaughters, Ella Zamora and Cheyenna Davis; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Fritz; grandchildren, Reagan Wood and Dalton Kennington; great-grandchildren, Weston Wood, Waverly Wood and Wiley Wood; siblings, Jane Fritz, Sarah Lichty, Lee Pigott, Cindy Lander and Jamie Lovett.
Cora was preceded in death by: parents, Marion and Horace Pigott, son, Mark Fritz.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Services will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas beginning at 2:00 PM.
Burial will follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park, Granbury, Texas.
Services under the care of Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas.
