Connie Britz
Connie L. Britz of Springfield, IL, passed away on July 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by her children. She was born on May 30, 1962, and married James Britz Jr. on June 11, 1980.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy (Falon) of Riverton; daughter, Lori (James) of Springfield; seven wonderful grandchildren, Jimmy IV, Bow, Dawson, Helena, Daisey May, Oakley, and Remi-Kay; brothers, Robert and Tom, both of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Britz Jr., parents, Ted and Donna Melton; and brother, Teddy.
She worked at St. Johns for several years until she took early retirement to be a stay-at-home wife and mom.
She loved spending every moment with her grandkids. She enjoyed going to church, playing bingo and card games, planting flowers, fishing and farming until she got sick. She enjoyed her soap operas and game shows, especially The Price Is Right.
Her favorite saying was “Listen Linda”.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Rev. Joshua McNeely officiating. Burial will follow at Salisbury Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
