Clifford Sowell

Clifford Manester Sowell was born on February 22, 1951 in Kansas City Kansas to the union of Clifford C. Sowell and Clotees M. Harris Sowell who both preceded him in death as well five of his siblings, Dura Lee Hinson, Zania M. Hickmon, Dorothy Mozee, Craig K. Sowell Sr. and Maurice Williams. Clifford better known as Stu departed this life at Medicalodge Post Acute on May 8, 2025. Clifford was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas splitting his preteen years at Kealing Elementary School and Stowe Elementary School. He attended Northeast R. High and graduated from Sumner High School Class of 1970. He began his working career at Douglass Hospital then ending with over 20 years at The University of Kansas Hospital. CLifford found joy in Classic Cars, Good Looking Watches and was very passionate about ” Family Time”. He was a longtime member of Mount Zion Baptist Church for over 50 years, Rejoining the church on December 8, 2002 and June 1, 2014 to carry on the legacy of the late Zania Lee Stuckey and Loria Worten. He Leaves to cherish his memories one brother Mark Anthony Williams and seven sisters Carmen Harris, Karen Birt, Vallerie Sowell-Bly, Yvette Williams(Michael), Crystal Sowell, Dalphanie Sowell, and Nichella Sowell Guy and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a special friend Marian Hardin.
