Clayton William Stepp Sr.

Clayton William Stepp, Sr., aged 79, passed away on November 1, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born

on March 30, 1946, he lived a life marked by dedication to his family, work, and passions.

Claytons career was distinguished by his time with General Electric and Pardee Hospital, where he was known for

his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. His service in the Army was a testament to his dedication and

love for his country.

Outside of his professional life, Clayton had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was

also a fervent sports fan and had a particular passion for auto racing. Above all, he cherished his role as a father,

grandfather, and great-grandfather, finding immense joy in spending time with his family.

Clayton was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Myra Georgetta Hyder Stepp, and his parents, Major Ashworth

Stepp and Susie King Stepp. He is survived by his sons, Clayton William Stepp, Jr. and wife Kimberly Ledbetter

Stepp, Eric Brent Stepp and wife Candy Deaton Stepp, all residing in Hendersonville, NC. His legacy also lives on

through his grandchildren, Taylor Shay Stepp, Lexi Shea Reese, Zachary Shay Stepp, and Noah William Stepp, as

well as his great-grandchildren, Lakota Cantrell, Lana Cantrell, Forrest Taylor, Asher Stepp, and Jace Stepp. He also

has many nieces, nephews, and special friends and family including Dr. James Caserio, his brother-in-law Edward

Eric Hyder and his sister-in-law Dale Overcash Hyder.

A memorial service to honor Claytons life will be held on November 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM at In Jesus Name Baptist

Church, located at 2934 Sugarloaf Mountain Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792. The service will be officiated by Dale

Gilbert.

Clayton William Stepp, Sr. will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work,

and his zest for life. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
