Cindy Zoglmann

Cindy Joleen Zoglmann, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the age of 70.

Cindy was born the daughter of John and Phyllis (Garlow) Sharpsteen on October 9, 1954 in Anthony, Kansas.

A charismatic soul, Cindy was often described as sunshine in human form. She was a creative spirit whose love for painting and crafts was only outshone by her love for her family. Cindy was as generous as she was loving, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her infectious energy and unwavering spirit made her a beloved figure in Wellington where she resided. Cindy was not only a devoted wife, having married the love of her life, John Zoglmann, on February 11, 1977, but also a successful business owner, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. But it was her role as the matriarch of her family that was closest to her heart. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially during holidays, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy of all. Cindy’s generosity extended even to her hobbies, where she served as the Commissioner of a legendary fantasy football league for over 30 years.

Between her cookies, Diet Coke, and casino slot machines, Cindy knew how to find joy in the simple things in life, a mindset she no doubt passed on to her loved ones. To have known Cindy was to have known a truly unique and endearing soul, whose memory will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Her legacy is not only in her business or her fantasy football league, but in the countless lives she has touched through her acts of kindness and love.

Cindy leaves behind her husband, John Zoglmann of Wellington, KS; son, Jason (Jami) Zoglmann of Burkburnett, TX; daughter, Holly (Mark) Cornejo of Wellington, KS; grandchildren: Kasey Zoglmann of Burkburnett, TX; Jamison Zoglmann of Burkburnett, TX; Johnnie Zoglmann of Burkburnett, TX; Jenna (Logan) Rausch of Wellington, KS; Gracie (Lukas) Rich of Iola, KS; Derek Rausch of Wellington, KS; Creed Cornejo of Wellington, KS; and sister, Sonja (Jeff) Sandell of Wellington, KS.

She was preceded in death by her father, John McKee; mother, Phyllis Sharpsteen; and sister, Sandy Kemp.

There are no services planned at this time and a private interment will take place at a later date.
