Charles Hult

Charles (Chad) Robert Hult, age 37, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away on June 30, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1987, in Flint, Michigan; a son of David Hult and Lisa (Miller) Hult.

Chad had a deep love for his ex-wife Kayla and her daughter Andi.  Even though their marriage didn’t work out he continued to love Andi as if she was his daughter and talked about her daily.   His love for his niece Addie along with his nephews Adam and Robert was unconditional as they called him the fun uncle!

His passion for helping young men and women learn and do the right thing in life whether on the football field during his time as assistant and head coach at Eldon High School was second to no one.   He was forever thankful for learning the right way to treat people from his parents along with his mentor Coach Shannon Jolley.

He had the philosophy of it wasn’t how many games you won, it was about preparing the young person he was coaching to take the lessons they learned on the football field to be a better person when they graduated high school. His motto for his football teams was “We Not Me”.

He took that same passion into the classroom with the same goal of preparing the individuals he taught to be better prepared to take on the world than when he first met them.

The last 3 years of Chad’s life were tough as he faced many medical and personal challenges which from a medical standpoint couldn’t be diagnosed, however he ALWAYS kept his believe in his mission of helping young people prepare for the challenges in life.

Before Chad’s unexpected passing he was ecstatic about taking on a new challenge of helping a different group of young people at Montgomery City, MO High School as a Business Teacher, assistant football coach and assistant basketball coach.

Chad will be missed by many; however, his legacy will live on through the individuals he worked with over the years.

Chad is survived by his parents David and Lisa Hult; his brother Dennis Hult; his nephews Robert and Adam Hult; his niece Addie Hanley; his sister-in-law Crystal Hutton; his aunt Dr. Karen Hult and her husband Dr. Charles Walcott; several additional aunts and uncles; his beloved Andi; his ex-wife Kayla; numerous friends and players he coached; other relatives and friends.

Chad was preceded by his sister Anne-Marie Hult and two nephews Caden and Daven.   Along with his grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
