CECIL TOMLINSON

Cecil Wallace Tomlinson, Sr., a lifelong resident of Putnam County, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born on April 23, 1940, Cecil spent his life in the community he loved, surrounded by family and friends. He was known for his steady presence, strong values, and deep devotion to those around him.

Cecil proudly served his country in the United States Army for 11 years, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. Following his military service, he continued a life of dedication and hard work as a maintenance foreman with Florida Power & Light, where he remained until his retirement in 1995.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Pauline Tomlinson; his parents, C.T. and Nellie Tomlinson; his sister, Burldine; his brother, James Howard Tomlinson; his son, Robert D. Tomlinson; and his grandson, Dennis Adam Jones.

Cecil will be remembered not only for the years he lived but for the love, guidance, and strength he gave to so many. His memory will be cherished always.
