Catherine Culhane

Catherine Culhane was born in 1930, and passed away September 17, 2025 at the age of 95. She was the first of four children and is survived by her sister Patricia Sebesta, her three sons Jim, Pat, Tom, their wives Kathy and Anne, their children Jim , Kaitlyn, Kelly and Patrick, along with grandchildren Jamie, Theo, Colton and Piper.

Growing up the during the Depression, Catherine had a strong belief in church, family, hard work, and the value of education. She met Patrick Culhane in the early 1950’s , an Irish immigrant, who easily fit into the Keenan Clan, they fell in love and were married in 1954.

Her faith was put to the test very early in her married life as two of her four children were born handicapped. Her goal for all of her children: to be honest, productive and contributing members of society having a strong faith in God. She spent countless years overcoming numerous hurdles with her two handicapped children. Thru hard work, dedication, and belief in God she ultimately achieved that goal. The “Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential” and “Community Living Corp” were pivotal in assisting with that goal.

As she leaves this world, her remaining children Jim, Pat and Tom – witnessed the legacy of a woman – our mother – that never took “no” or “impossible” as an answer – worked extremely hard, and never wavered in meeting any and all challenges while maintaining her devout faith in God.
