Carson Street closed downtown today, Saturday for Sheriff’s Office motorcycle training

On Friday June 27 and Saturday June 28, drivers will need to take a detour while in downtown for the High Sierra Motor Training event hosted by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

This is the 22nd annual event, which brings together regional law enforcement agencies to practice techniques and engage in training with their vehicles.

The road closure began at 7 a.m. today and will continue through 3 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m.

The Third Street parking lot is also closed for the event.
