Carson Middle School Fall Sports Top Tah-Neva League Championships

Student-athletes from Carson Middle (CMS) delivered outstanding performances at last week’s Tah-Neva League Championships, earning top finishes, trophies, medals and plenty of smiles.

The CMS seventh-grade girls basketball team dominated their championship game, defeating Carson Valley Middle School 21-11 to claim the league title. The CMS eighth-grade girls team followed suit, edging out Carson Valley Middle School for a championship win of their own. Both teams capped off impressive seasons with only a single loss each.

Meanwhile, cross-country runners faced a snow-covered course following recent storms at the Tahoe-Neva League cross-country championships at Kahle Park in South Lake Tahoe last Thursday, Oct. 16. Despite the challenging conditions, Carson City athletes excelled, and the CMS eighth-grade girls’ team raced to a strong second-place finish.
