Carson City’s Catmandu introduces their Cats of the Week: Sunshine and Rain — A Double Dose of Love

This week’s featured felines at Catmandu are a radiant mother-daughter duo who live up to their beautiful names — Sunshine and Rain. These two gray tabbies look so much alike it’s easy to see the family resemblance. Sunshine, just 3 years old with her sparkling green eyes is warm as a summer day.  Rain, her 2-year-old daughter with striking golden eyes, is as cuddly as a fuzzy blanket on a chilly autumn day.

Sunshine and Rain came to Catmandu as part of a group of seven cats who had lived together in one home. Sunshine is mom to them all, and the heart of the family. Rain is one of her kittens. They share a strong bond and are almost always side by side. They are happiest in each other’s company and need to go to a family together.

Both are super affectionate lap cats who absolutely adore attention. They lean in for pets, purr with delight, and would happily sit with you for hours. It’s a good thing people have two hands because both Sunshine and Rain want love at the same time!

While they have never been around children or dogs, they would likely do well with children who are school age or older and might even tolerate a cat-friendly dog.  They are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, ready to bring warmth and joy into a new forever home.
