Carson City’s Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Twixie, the Feline Office Assistant

Meet Twixie — a 5-month-old black and white tuxedo with a heart full of love and a résumé that includes “feline office assistant” at Catmandu.

While she’s happy helping with computer work by sitting (or sleeping upright) in front of the monitor and supervising staff from the comfort of their laps, Twixie has decided it’s time to leave the temp life behind and seek a permanent, full-time position in a home of her own.

Twixie is a spayed female, up to date on vaccines, and ready to charm her way into your life. She’s a certified cuddle bug — affectionate, snuggly, and always eager for attention. But don’t let her sweetness fool you: she’s got a mischievous streak and delights in exploring off-limits zones with a twinkle in her eye. She will give love bites if she believes she is being ignored for too long.

She gets along reasonably well with other cats, but prefers getting most of the attention. She hasn’t yet been tested with dogs.

Her journey to Catmandu wasn’t easy. Twixie was one of 30 cats removed from a home overflowing with love but lacking food, spay/neuter care, and opportunities for a better life. She and five fellow “teenagers” ended up in a small kill shelter that reached out to Catmandu for help finding them forever homes.

Since arriving, Twixie has blossomed — and now she’s ready to work her way into your heart.

Her salary requirements? Generous portions of wet and dry food, daily playtime, and an abundance of cuddles. In return, she’ll offer companionship, entertainment, and a touch of sass.
Twixie will be available for interviews this weekend at Catmandu.

Come meet Twixie this weekend and see if she’s the perfect fit for your home. Catmandu is open Friday – Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm at 1829 Brown St. Please arrive early if adopting a cat.
