Carson City weekend arrests: Deputy head-butted by suspect during investigation

A man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of felony battery by a prisoner, false identification to prevent or delay officers and other offenses after he allegedly head-butted a deputy who was investigating a possible residential burglary, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
The man, who was listed on the probable cause report as John Doe, would not provide his name to sheriff’s office deputies, who placed him into custody following an investigation. The man was also booked for alleged gross misdemeanor battery on a protected person, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
According to the booking report, deputies responded at 9:47 p.m. to the 600 block of Hot Springs Road for a reported residential burglary in progress. Dispatch advised the man was attempting to gain entry into the residence.
Deputies arrived and the suspect began resisting as he was being detained. He was belligerent and had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, the report states. As a deputy was interviewing neighbors, another deputy was heard shouting near the rear of a patrol vehicle.
A deputy saw another deputy struggling to place the suspect into the back seat of a patrol vehicle, with the suspect then head-butting the deputy. The deputy had blood on his vest and sustained a small laceration to his right thumb during the struggle. The suspect then continued to strike his head and body against the vehicle and mumbled incoherently while detained, the report states.
Deputies interviewed a witness who stated they observed the suspect entering the property and heard screaming from the rear and observed the suspect lying behind a car parked in the driveway. They did not see the man approach the house directly but saw him walking around the neighborhood. They provided a written statement.
Another witness was interview who reported they were alerted by yelling and woke up. Reviewing their security cameras, they observed the suspect banging on the house and approaching their vehicle. Believing the man was attempting to enter the home or car, they were unable to clearly confirm the video footage and then called 911, the report states.
The suspect, who was uncooperative, and refused to identify himself, was taken to the hospital for medical clearance prior to booking. While at jail, the man’s wallet was found to contain four different types of cards, each bearing a different name. Bail: $30,000.
Man in custody after breaking into home while victim showering
— A 50-year-old man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of residential burglary and misdemeanor harassment, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested Robert Baker of Dayton. According to the booking report, deputies responded to the 1600 block of Deer Run Road at 6:13 for a residential burglary. The reporting party stated Baker was actively trying to enter the residence. Deputies arrived on scene and learned the suspect had exited the residence, the report states.
Deputies interviewed the reporting party who said she was showering when she heard knocking on the door. She stated Baker entered the residence and walked into the bathroom. She stated he ripped back the shower curtain. She stated she told Baker to get out of the house multiple times. The man then ran around the house to the back door where she locked him out. She stated Baker then started to bang on the door, rang the doorbell and was trying to get it open. She stated that she pointed a handgun at the man, telling him to leave.
She stated the man was not allowed at the residence or welcome inside the residence. She stated Baker left the residence in a red Jeep. She stated he repeatedly calls her and texts her, making degrading comments toward and about her. She stated she applied for a temporary protection order, which it had been granted but not served, the report states.
The victim stated that in September, Baker vandalized her residence by cutting hoses, destroying the chicken coop and taking tools. She stated he would not leave her alone and stated she told the man multiple times she does not want any contact with him. The victim told the deputy that Baker continuously tries to call and text her. She stated that Baker and she have not been dating for approximately eight months and that he never lived at the residence. She said she made it very clear to him that he was not welcome at her residence, the report states.
The woman was visibly shaken during the interaction, and was crying and nervously shaking when the deputy spoke with her, the report states.
The deputy explained that they were going to try and contact Baker at his residence. She stated something to the effect of he was going to come after her, the report states.
Deputies located the man through Flock traffic cameras traveling eastbound on Highway 50 at 6:18 p.m. The man was later contacted by Storey County Sheriff’s Office deputies where he was arrested and taken to jail in Carson City. Bail: $2,500.
In other arrests:
— A 46-year-old man was arrested Sunday, 5:17 p.m. for suspicion of domestic battery and a Department of Alternative Sentencing violation.
According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a location in reference to a domestic battery. Dispatch advised the reporting party had been punched by his wife and that both parties were still on scene.
Deputies arrived and met with the reporting party who identified himself. He had a small cut on his forehead that had been bleeding, causing a streak of blood to drip down his face. The deputy asked what happened. He said he didn’t know. The man stated he was sleeping on the bed with his wife and said she recently had a seizure and will wake up scared and confused.
The man said he woke up to the woman hitting him in the face. He stated he had no idea why she was hitting him. He stated he got away from her and she walked outside their apartment. He stated she was outside for approximately five minutes before coming back inside. He stated when she came back inside, she claimed “nobody loves her” and started to hit and punch the man again. He stated she finally calmed down and he called for law enforcement.
The man stated he had been drinking earlier in the night and provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .387, the report states. Dispatch advised the man was on Department of Alternative Sentencing. DAS was contacted and wanted the man placed on hold for violation of a suspended sentence.
Deputies spoke with the woman and noticed the right side of her face was extremely red and swollen. She stated she hit the man but it was only in self defense as he woke her up by hitting her in the face. She told the officer that she and the man were drinking alcohol together and as a result she passed out on the couch. She stated she didn’t know how long she was asleep. However, she said the man woke her up by yelling and screaming at her to get out of the apartment, according to the report.
She stated he was angry with her for having seizures, drinking alcohol and being fired from her job. She stated the man was angry that she was on the couch and he told her to leave. She stated the man started to hit her in the face, pointing toward the right side of her face, which was swollen and red. The deputy also noticed the far right side of her eye was blood shot red. She showed the deputy how she hit the man in the face by throwing a punch while on her back and telling him “get off me.”
Carson City Fire Department took the woman to the hospital to assess for further injuries as they suspect her right orbital bone needed to be x-rayed, the report states.
A deputy then asked the man how the woman got the injuries to her face. He stated she must have fallen. The man told the deputy that earlier in the day he had watched her trip and fall in their living room causing her to “lip-skid” across the floor. The man then pointed to his nose and stated that’s what caused the injuries to the woman’s nose.
Based on both parties being highly intoxicated and both having injuries, the man was placed under arrest for suspicion of domestic battery. The woman was not arrested at the time because she was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Bail: $3,137. Plus $1,000 cash for the DAS violation.
— A 36-year-old man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, failing to signal when required and no proof of insurance. Bail: $2,500.
— A 54-year-old woman was arrested Nov. 11, 9:51 p.m. in the 2600 block of Mayflower Way for suspicion of trespassing and obstructing, resisting arrest.
According to the booking report, deputies were called to the address regarding a residential burglary. Dispatch advised the reporting party said she arrived at her residence and found a female sleeping in her bed. She said she knew the female but that she had broken into her house.
Deputies arrived and located the suspect and placed her in handcuffs. She was read her Miranda warning, which she stated she did not want to speak and she requested an attorney.
At this time, a deputy escorted her back to their patrol vehicle. The woman requested medical attention because her feet hurt. Dispatch was advised to send medical personnel. They arrived shortly and attended to the woman.
Meanwhile, the deputy learned the suspect had not previously been trespassed from the location. At this time, the deputy told the woman she was no longer in custody but was being trespassed from the location. The deputy told the woman to exit the patrol vehicle and she refused. The deputy gave her multiple commands to exit their patrol vehicle but she refused. She stated she wanted to go to jail.
The deputy told her she was being trespassed and there were no charges for residential burglary. She then said she would keep returning to the address and keep entering the residence if she was not arrested. The deputy then placed her in custody and took her to jail. Bail: $1,137.
— A 36-year-old man was arrested Nov. 21, 6:17 p.m. at Carson and East Long Street for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Nov. 20, 2025 out of Reno Municipal Court. Bail: $2,000 cash.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man, Michael Miller, was arrested Nov. 22, 2:19 a.m. in the 2200 block of East William Street for a felony contempt of court warrant issued Nov. 12, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. He was also arrested for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Nov. 22 a 12:41 a.m. for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. According to the booking report, a deputy traveling southbound on Roop Street north of Oregon Street observed a vehicle change from the number two lane to the number one lane in front of their patrol car without signaling in a quick manner.
Seeing the traffic infraction, the deputy activated their emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver continued south, past Oregon Street and pulled over into the northeast side of Lowes at 430 Fairview Drive.
The deputy made contact with the driver and advised him of the reason for the traffic stop. While speaking with the man the deputy observed he had red, watery eyes, slurred speech and the deputy could smell and odor of alcohol coming from his person.
The deputy asked the man to step out of the vehicle, which he complied. As he stepped out he stumbled and had to catch his balance. The deputy advised the man of the observations and asked him if he was willing to perform standardized field sobriety tests to see if he was safe to operate a motor vehicle. The man agreed. He showed signs of impairment on the tests. He provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .134. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he agreed to provide evidentiary breath samples with results of .110 and .115. Bail: $1,137.
— A 54-year-old woman was booked into Carson City Jail on Nov. 21 for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested Nov. 21 for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor warrant issued Oct. 15 out of Sparks Police Department. Bail: $2,500.
— A 34-year-old Carson City woman, Annabelle Miller, was arrested Nov. 21 for a felony probation violation warrant issued Oct. 11, 2025 out of Parole and Probation. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.
— A 65-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Nov. 21, 9:42 a.m. in the 3500 block of Northgate a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail; $3,000
— A 36-year-old Hayward, Calif. man was arrested Nov. 23 for a misdemeanor outside agency warrant issued out of Dayton Township Court. Bail; $455 cash.
— A 34-year-old Reno woman, Robin Martin, was arrested Nov. 22 for suspicion of felony possession of marijuana amounting to 1.24 pounds and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.
— A Carson City man, Louis Fiori, was arrested Sunday, Nov. 23 for felony parole and probation violation, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and an outside agency warrant out of Douglas County. Bail: $5,000.
— A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, Nov. 23 for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended driver’s license and no proof of insurance. Bail: $2,500.
— A 54-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Nov. 23 for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. According to the booking report, deputies responded at 3:55 p.m. to the 3500 block of Woodside Drive for a report of domestic battery. Dispatch stated a female was thrown to the ground and a male subject was attempting to get into a white vehicle.
Deputies arrived and observed a male wearing a green shirt and a male wearing a black shirt. The deputy observed both males in a heated argument and the male wearing the black shirt had both his fists balled up. Other officers arrived on scene and began talking with the men, who were identified. One was uncooperative at the start of the interaction and continuously stated that nothing happened. The deputy notes that other subjects were interviewed as part of the group and they were uncooperative and refused to provide details to the questions asked.
Deputies spoke with the female, later determined as the suspect, who came out of the residence because it was alleged she pushed someone. She stated one of the men brought over his girlfriend, who is not allowed at her house. She stated she was upset because she had voiced to everyone her disdain for the girlfriend and did not want her at the house, according to the report. She stated there was an argument among the group. She stated her lip was bleeding. The officer observed dried blood on her lip. She then stopped answering questions, the report states.
Deputies interview a man who was inside the residence and stated he heard an argument outside. He stated when he walked outside, he saw multiple people arguing and yelling. He stated he went over to the group and tried to separate everyone and get the female victim into the car so they could leave without further issue. He stated he did not see any of the pushing that occurred.
Deputies interviewed others, including one by phone and learned the female suspect had been banging on the passenger door of the vehicle and that the female ended up on the ground behind the car, the report states.
Deputies re-interviewed the woman who didn’t want the girlfriend in the house, where she admitted to banging on the passenger side window of the vehicle and stated the woman was at the back of the vehicle while she was banging on the window. She stated she didn’t know how she ended up on the ground during the interaction. She also stated she may have bitten her lip but was unsure how or why her lip was bleeding, the report states.
Based on circumstances and interviews and a witness statement, it was determined the woman was the primary aggressor in the incident. She was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.
