Carson City sheriff’s bookings: Woman arrested for allegedly having sex with 15-year-old

A 33-year-old woman was arrested late Thursday for suspected lewdness with a child under 16, statutory sexual seduction and distributing pornography to a minor, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Following an investigation, CCSO arrested April Ann Gieke of Carson City. According to the booking report, deputies were called to 20 College Parkway for a report of a sexual offense involving a minor and an adult neighbor.

A deputy met with several individuals who are related to the 15-year-old victim. Because of the number of individuals at the location, the deputy requested a second deputy. The subjects walked the deputy to the reporting party, who is the mother of the victim.

According to the mother, she had located several messages on her son’s cellphone with suspect Gieke, who is 33 years old. The deputy asked the mother to show the messages. Looking at the messages, the deputy saw a picture of a female’s genitals and another picture of the suspect showing her breasts, the report states.

The report notes the deputy could see the suspect’s face in the second picture. The mother told the deputy that she asked her son if he ever had sexual intercourse with the woman. According to the mother the juvenile stated he and the suspect had sex two times, the report states.

While briefly reading through some of the messages, the deputy read where the suspect stated she wanted the victim to come over to her residence and have intercourse with her. The deputy also observed messages from the suspect asking him to keep their interactions secret, the report states.

The deputy was able to recognize the suspect from the picture with her face because at one time she was incarcerated at Carson City Jail at the same time the deputy was assigned to the detention division, the report states.

The deputy was advised the suspect lives next door at the same apartment complex and further advised the suspect was home and was potentially deleting messages on her phone. The deputy asked the mother if he could speak with her son. She stated yes.

A short time later, the juvenile came outside and agreed to speak. He said he added the suspect on a social media site and eventually he and the suspect began talking regularly through the site. A deputy asked if he and the woman ever had sexual intercourse. He advised he had sexual intercourse on two separate occasions and further advised the most recent was approximately two weeks ago at 2 a.m. and said he was hanging out at her apartment when she asked to watch a movie in her bedroom where they had sexual intercourse, the report states.

After speaking with the mother and son, a deputy went to the suspect’s apartment. A short time later she came to the door and indicated she knew the reason deputies were speaking with her. The deputy advised they wanted to get her side of the story, the report states.

The woman advised she had sent inappropriate pictures to the victim through social media and described one of the pictures, which deputies had been shown earlier. The deputy asked the woman if she and the juvenile ever had sexual intercourse. She stated yes, but only one time, the report states. She said they had sexual intercourse on or around July 4, 2025. She further advised the juvenile came on to her and asked her to take his “V card” and further explained “V card” meant virginity. A deputy asked the woman if she knew how old he was. She stated she thought he was 18 years old and said that’s the age he told her he is, the report states.

However, she stated she learned from the juvenile’s mother that he is only 15 years old and then stated she knew the juvenile was 15 years old prior to having sexual intercourse with him, according to the report.

She was placed under arrest. While she was in custody, she made several spontaneous utterances stating she made a mistake and that’s what she gets for being on her cellphone, along with she knew what she did was wrong, the report states.

She was booked for suspicion of felony lewdness with a child under 16, statutory sexual seduction and distributing pornographic material to a minor. Bail: $20,000.

In other arrests:
— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday for misdemeanor warrants alleging three counts of violation of bail conditions through the Department of Alternative Sentencing and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was issued July 17 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $6,000 cash.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday for a misdemeanor violation of Department of Alternative Sentencing conditions warrant issued July 17, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. No bail hold. A woman who was with the man at the time of the traffic stop was also booked for suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and two misdemeanor DAS violation holds.
