With plenty of paint splashes to go along with artistic and creative expression, the third annual Murals & Music Festival returns to Carson City this week.

Nearly two dozen artists have created an outdoor art gallery throughout the capital city since 2023, with 20-plus murals added in 2024. More are on the way this week.

The Carson City Mural and Music festival begins Monday, Sept.15 at locations across the city, ending Saturday, Sept. 20. There will be music, food and live art for five full days as the festival brings local, national and international artists to Carson City to paint murals throughout the city. Go here for the artist bios.

The celebration concludes Saturday with live music and a free closing concert at the Brewery Arts Center. Other community activities will include artist lectures and talks, film, children’s art activities and interactive mural painting.

We will post a map as soon as one becomes available. Printed maps are available at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W King St., and the Visitors Center, 716 N. Carson St., Suite A for the 2025 event. Check back for updates.
