Earlier this month, Carson City Health and Human Services provided its yearly update to Carson City Supervisors and the Board of Health.

Each year, CCHHS collects statistics on vaccine clinics, restaurant inspections, health screenings, and more.

The Epidemiology Division also collects statistics on sexually transmitted diseases for the tri-counties. Data is compiled on Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis.

Carson City

There were 142 recorded cases of Chlamydia this year, up from 129 in 2023. However, these are still lower than the prior two years, which recorded 151 cases in 2021, and 174 in 2022.

There were 24 recorded cases of Gonorrhea this year, on par with the 25 cases from 2023. However, this number is far lower than 2021’s 39 recorded cases.
