The Carson City Host Lions Club is proud to announce that it is now accepting entries for the 2025 Lions International Peace Poster Contest. This annual global contest encourages young people to express their vision of peace through art.

This year’s theme, “Together As One,” invites students to illustrate how unity can create a more peaceful world. The contest is open to youth who will be ages 11, 12, or 13 by November 15, 2025. Participants are asked to create an original poster that visually communicates the theme.

“We are excited to give Carson City youth the opportunity to share their creativity and message of peace,” said Terry Rubald of the Carson City Host Lions Club. “This contest not only fosters artistic expression, but also highlights the importance of unity and global understanding.”

Winning posters may advance through district, multiple district, and international rounds of judging. The international grand prize winner will receive $5,000, with 23 merit award winners receiving $500 each.  The local winner will receive $50 and advance to the District level, where the award is $125.  The second place local winner will receive $25.

For a copy of official rules, or to submit your poster, please contact the Carson City Host Lions Club at carsoncitylions@gmail.com or call (775) 273-8491 and a club member will return your call.  The entry deadline is Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.  You may drop off your entry at the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, 1870 Russell Way, Carson City.
