Carson City firefighters respond to small fire at 5th street apartment

Carson City Fire Department was called Sunday afternoon to a small fire that was quickly extinguished at the Terrace Gardens apartment complex, 1111 East Fifth Street.

Arriving first responders reported smoke and a small fire at an apartment unit, which was knocked down. The fire was in a planter on a balcony. There was no damage, according CCFD Acting Fire Chief Kevin Nyberg. The fire was called in at around 1:40 p.m.
