Carson City boxer, CHS senior awarded two scholarships

Local amateur boxer Jimmy Sapien from Carson City Boxing Club has been awarded two prestigious national scholarships in recognition of his dedication and hard work both in and out of the ring.
He received the USA Boxing Foundation’s Thomas “Sarge” Johnson Scholarship and the Silver Gloves of America Scholarship. Jimmy will graduate from Carson High School on June 7 and plans to use these funds to further his education as he pursues a career as a firefighter and paramedic.
