Carolyn Tomassi

Carolyn A. Tomassi, 74, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Rome Health surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rome on October 29, 1950, a daughter of the late Louis and Theresa (Caponera) Farino. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy.

Carolyn worked several jobs for many years before retiring.

Carolyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-mother. She was also an animal lover, and cherished her dog, Ginger.

Carolyn is survived by three children, Joanna Tomassi, Gina Tomassi, and John Tomassi (Jackie); a brother, Paul Farino; eleven grandchildren, including a special grandson Isaiah Tomassi,  and three precious great-grandchildren, Josell, Jaylee, and Javani; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, David and Louis Farino.

Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Wednesday, July 16th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Cemetery.
