Carol Burton
Carol J. Burton, age 92, of Rhinelander died July 25th 2025. She was born January 3, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI to Wilbert and Ella Boese Magnan.
Carol was an active volunteer at the YMCA, Rhinelander Area Food Pantry, her church, and Newcomer’s. Carol was a strong advocate of staying in shape as you age, completing the 5K event at the Hodag Run at the age of 85. She was an avid reader, frequently challenged by having too many good books to read at the same time.
She is survived by her three sons, Matthew Burton of Seattle WA, Andrew (Patrcia) Burton of Lake Linden, MI and John Burton of Rhinelander, grandchildren Alyssa Burton, Tara Stemen, Nicole (Rob) Basanta and Emilee Vydeq, as well as great grandchild Raphael Vydeq.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, sisters Mary and Pat, and brother Jim.

There will be a memorial service held for Carol at the Carlson Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM with Reverends Tim and Susie Grade officiating, a visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
