Carmen (Castro) Terranova was born on August 3rd, 1928 in San Francisco, California to Maria Dolce (Sanchez) Castro and Manuel Castro. She passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday August 10th, 2024 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of 73 years to the late Albert George Terranova. Loving sister, sister in law, and aunt to many nieces, nephews, multiple generations of family, and close friends.
Carmen had devoted her life to our Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith in the Lord never failed, even through the most difficult challenges in her life she always remained steadfast in her faith. Her faith had led her to witness and bring many people to Jesus, even up to her very last days of her life. Carmen and Al’s journey began at Open Bible Church, then continued at Assembly of God, Bethel Temple, Grace Community, and now New Life Church of the Nazarene.
Carmen graduated from Mission High School known as “The Mission” in 1945. Carmen worked as a telephone operator, then moved into bookkeeping. Once Al started his own plumbing business, Nova Plumbing, she worked with him.
She and her husband, Al enjoyed retirement and traveling the world. She lived in San Francisco all of her life, but after retirement spent half of their time in Cloverdale, California. The last 8 years they returned to living full time in San Francisco. Her greatest pleasure other than our Lord Jesus, was spending time with family and friends.
